1. Use of the Vaults

We grant you a private, non-commercial license to sync your books, notes, and reading records. You may not scrape, bulk-extract, or run automated load tests against our systems.

2. Library Access & Fair Use

All accounts can add and import unlimited books and reading notes. Elite Premium unlocks premium tools including cloud PDF/EPUB storage, AI capabilities, custom styling, Book Bites access, and premium themes. Automated abuse, scraping, or activity that harms service availability remains prohibited.

3. Sanctuary Integrity & Identity Rights

Any abuse, profile impersonation, or injection of unauthorized, harmful content through entry logs, shared catalogs, or contact support messages will trigger immediate termination of your library access permissions.

4. Uploaded Files, Rights & Responsibility

You represent and warrant that you own, or have all permissions and licences needed to upload, store, access, and use, every PDF or EPUB you add to Kitaaben. You must not upload material that is unlawful, infringing, pirated, malicious, or that violates another person’s privacy or other rights. Kitaaben provides reading and storage tools; it does not supply, sell, license, endorse, or verify user-uploaded books. You are solely responsible for the files you upload and for your use of them.

5. File Availability & Limitation of Liability

Kitaaben is not an archival or backup service. Keep the original copy of every uploaded file. Files may become unavailable, corrupted, or deleted because of account actions, technical failures, legal requirements, or enforcement of these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kitaaben is not liable for user-uploaded content, loss of or damage to uploaded files, or claims and losses arising from those files or their use. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We may restrict access to or remove an uploaded file when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, respond to a rights complaint, or comply with law. Rights holders may report suspected infringement to namastay@kitaaben.com.

6. Newsletter Enrollment

By creating an account, you agree to be subscribed to the Kitaaben newsletter at the email address associated with your account. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in any newsletter email, independent of your account status.
